THE GOOD STUFF
What was your first music trip?
Technically it would be a spur of the moment trip to Austin to see The 1975. I convinced my (heaven sent) mother to get up at 3 in the morning to take me and a friend (s/o @ Ronni) to see the boys play a free show at Waterloo Records during SXSW. I got to meet the boys for the first time and I swear I was shaking the entire time. OOPS. It was that trip that taught me how important checking the weather before queueing is bc it uh...rained the whole time.

What’s the craziest trip you’ve ever taken for a band?
It doesn’t seem very crazy but at the time it was a lot. Ashley and I decided super last minute to drive the 3 hours each way to Oklahoma City to see The Band Camino at a tiny little bar. We left at almost 8pm and drove back after the show. We both had class/work the next morning and I’m almost positive that we died.
What do you love about traveling for music?
SUPPORTING MY FRIENDS AND FAVS! There isn’t anything that feels the same way as sharing the pre-trip/pre-show buzz with your best friends. Hopping on a plane to a different state or country just to support the artists that you love is the ~move~
Fav city to visit for tours?
Boston! I swear that city has magic running right through its core.
Fav venue you’ve traveled to?
Danforth Music Hall. Hands down. We were lucky enough to spend two nights in a row at Danforth for artists at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. Seeing the room filled with such diverse groups each night really showed me how amazing it is.

Tell us about one of your fav tour memories.
During fall tour I was sitting in Boston with Brit and Katie while we were queuing for Dermot Kennedy. We had seen him in Toronto the night before, slept for two hours, hopped on a plane back to the states and were basically running on coffee and pre-show hype. We got drawn into a rabbit hole of very strange conversation and had the deepest belly laughs that I had experienced in a long time. It was a really simple moment but I would never trade belly laughs with tears streaming down our cheeks for anything.
What are your bucket list venue destinations?
The O2 in London.
Bucket list artists/bands to see?
Okay...this changes on the reg. At this very moment I would sell my soul to see Plested live and in person.

Any words of wisdom for your fellow traveling fangirls?
TAKE. THE. TRIP. I know as good as anyone how it feels trying to plan a trip around a full class load plus a full time job. It’s hard and can be stressful but it is so worth it. Buy the tickets and worry about the logistics later. Those trips and experiences are worth more than ~school~ at the end of the day anyway! (But also don’t take that as advice to drop out plz)
